PERMIAS NYC is an Indonesian Student association in NYC. PERMIAS NYC is one of the chapters of the PERMIAS Nasional organization. As the NYC chapter, our focus is helping Indonesian students studying in NYC. Our role is to be a family-like organization for Indonesian students who want to be a part of an Indonesian community, celebrate Indonesian culture or find other Indonesian people to socialize with while abroad. We also can help with any questions or concerns about being an international student in the USA.

 

ON THE LOGO

The PERMIAS logo aims to encapsulate the intersection between NYC and Indonesia. The logo has the Statue of Liberty, the iconic symbol of NYC, on top of the Garuda, a symbol for Indonesia. The red, white and gold colors are connected to the colors of Indonesia: both red and white being directly connected to the flag, and gold being a color abundant in Indonesian culture.
